  • Thank you for supporting Eccentric Scents. To get the most out of your handcrafted concrete candle and ensure a safe, consistent burn, please follow the care tips below:

    🕯️ Burning Best Practices

    • On the first burn, always allow the melted wax to reach the edges of the vessel (typically 3–4 hours) to prevent tunneling.

    • Do not burn for more than 4 hours at a time. Extinguish, allow to cool, and trim the wick before relighting.

    • Always keep the wax pool free from debris, such as wick trimmings, matches, or dust.

    • Burn your candle in a well-ventilated space, but avoid placing it near open windows or fans to prevent uneven burning or soothing.

    ✂️ Wick Maintenance

    • Trim the wick to 1/4 inch before every use. This promotes an even flame, reduces soot, and extends the candle's life.

    • If the flame becomes too large or flickers excessively, extinguish the candle, let it cool, trim the wick, and relight.

    • Never move or touch a candle while the wax is melted—concrete vessels retain heat and can become very hot.

    • Once the candle is finished, allow the wax to fully harden, then remove the leftover wax by gently warming the bottom or using hot water.

    • Clean the vessel with warm water and mild soap—do not use harsh chemicals or soak the vessel excessively.

    • Repurpose your concrete jar as a planter, pen holder, bathroom organizer, or for candle refills—each vessel is sealed for reuse and designed with sustainability in mind.

    • Store candles in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight to avoid discoloration and fragrance fading.

    • If you notice sweating (small beads of oil on the surface), this is natural with soy wax and doesn’t affect performance. Simply blot with a dry paper towel.

    • Keep candles covered or dust-free when not in use to preserve scent strength.
